[link]Ballet has always been a part of my life, and though I haven't officially danced in a while, I was looking through tumblr, and found the reference picture, and tried to draw it.
I guess my reason for this is twofold: I haven't posted much "serious" drawing (mostly because I haven't done much serious drawing), and I wanted to show it off, and then to show off a little part of me.
I saw a picture a friend of mine had doodled, similar to this, actually, and the anatomy of it kept bugging me, because it didn't look physically possible. This, on the other hand, I could totally imitate (but not on pointe) if I were flexible again... I took care to make this realistic, anatomically.
This probably took a little over half an hour. I kept the dress simple on purpose, because the focus was really more on her body and shadows.
